Andrew currently serves as CEO of Ngāi Tahu Farming, which manages more than 100,000 ha of farm and forestry land in Te Waipounamu (South Island) on behalf of Ngāi Tahu whānau. The timber, milk, meat and other products from the whenua (lands) go through local processors for export around the world.
Prior to joining Ngāi Tahu in 2015, Andrew had his own consulting practice specialising in strategy formulation, performance improvement, risk management and organisational alignment across a range of industries.
Before consulting, Andrew held international roles for companies operating in global markets including Forestry Corporation, Heinz-Watties and a senior position for Carter Holt Harvey based in the United States. He is also an independent director with past appointments at farmer cooperatives based in the Canterbury region.
Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Waikato and a Master of Forestry Science from the University of Canterbury. He has attended executive education programs at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and is currently undertaking a Master of Arts in Organisational Psychology and Change Leadership from Columbia University.
